New to hackathons or AI development? No worries, Lynx Hack is beginner-friendly! We hosted a Prep Workshop on March 17th covering APIs, agentic AI, and how to build AI workflows. Recordings and materials will be available on our website at cudenver-ai.com. Mentors will also be available throughout the event to help you get unstuck.

Tools & Technologies

We provide access to the following hosted resources for all participants:

  • Azure: cloud compute and AI services
  • Gemini API: Google's multimodal LLM (free tier available)

Recommended frameworks and tools:

  • n8n: low-code/no-code AI workflow builder
  • LangChain: developer framework for building LLM-powered applications
  • LlamaIndex: data + RAG focused framework for connecting LLMs to external data

Inspiration

Not sure what to build? Here are some ideas to spark your creativity:

  • A RAG-powered study assistant that answers questions from your course materials
  • An AI triage tool that helps patients describe symptoms and find appropriate care
  • A real-time fraud detection dashboard for financial transactions
  • A computer vision system for a robotic arm to identify and sort objects
  • An AI-generated interactive story game with branching narratives
  • A sustainability tracker that uses AI to suggest ways to reduce a household's carbon footprint
  • A personalized learning platform that adapts to a student's pace and style

And remember, the best projects solve real problems. Think about challenges you or people around you face every day, and ask yourself: how could AI help?
